Pastor Tony and Susan are a dynamic duo and are outstanding in allowing The Lord to use them in helping couples reach and experience the "more abundant life" within their marriages. Their delivery is very relatable and strongly biblically base. The husband and wife team delivery is infectious and comes off very applicable to the daily challenges that married couples face. It’s evident that they are speaking from personal experience, love and commitment to practicing these principles within their own marriage. When my wife and I were preparing to be married, we had already spent many years in the church as singles. We had independently attended a number of marriage- and couples-related seminars in preparation for "someday, when you're not single." So when we were in pre-marital counseling (with Pastor Tony), much of it was familiar. My wife is a licensed mental health counselor, so she had also had years of schooling and thousands of hours of practical experience, including counseling couples. But we realized that as much as we had seen and been taught before being married, life after marriage would be a completely new experience. Therefore, we decided that we would commit to building our relationship every year with a marriage retreat. Our first year married happed to be the first year Married for Life held its retreat, on Cape Cod.

Being together as husband and wife, husbands and wives, and the whole group of "us", together. The sessions are informative and useful, but they can only feed you if you're willing to take a seat together at the table. After all, there should be no other person with whom you want to spend time as much as your husband or wife. ...and sometimes we all need a bit of a reset from the triumphs and tragedies of life to remind us of how much we enjoy each other's company.
